Watch the news, check your Twitter, or simply walk outside and you'll see plenty of signs that California is in a drought. The state has seen five consecutive years of inadequate rainfall without any sign of change in the near future. This lack of water is causing many homeowners in Southern California to re-landscape their yards into an area that not only survives the drought, but thrives in it!
We recently finished landscaping a home in Thousand Oaks, CA that utilizes this drought tolerant landscaping. By combining California native plants with synthetic grass, this yard requires nearly zero maintenance and consumes only half of the water that it did originally. Imagine all the time these homeowners will get to spend working on their putting and NOT working on their pruning.
